Building Surveys and Quotes
Are you moving your business into an existing building? Maybe you’re in the process of building your own facility. Either way, we can advise you on what size and type of extinguishers you need, and where you should place them. We are familiar with and adhere to the most current NFPA 10 standards for portable fire extinguishers. We are also happy to do a fire and safety “walk thru” with you in your business; we can then advise and quote you on everything you need.
Fire Extinguisher Classes and Live Fire Training
Training is a huge part of fire protection. If your people don’t know how to properly use a portable fire extinguisher then it’s nothing more than a big paperweight. We can come to your facility and train your staff in the proper use of a fire extinguisher. We offer instruction in a classroom setting and then, if you wish, can proceed outside to a live fire set up where your staff can actually take turns using what they’ve learned in class to extinguish a live fire.
OSHA 1910.157(g)(1) – Annual Training for Incipient Fire:
Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting.
The employer shall provide the education required in paragraph (g)(1) of this section upon initial employment and at least annually thereafter.
The employer shall provide employees who have been designated to use fire-fighting equipment as part of an emergency action plan with training in the use of the appropriate equipment.
